myfavrecipesinanutshell

So I got this bright idea to start posting more of the recipes I use in a blog. Mostly so I can have them where ever I go but also so that I can't share them with others. My new blog is myfavrecipesinanutshell.wordpress.com. There is a link to it in my friends section. I am sincerely looking for good healthy recipes. If any of you have any let me know!

Cassie's Graduation plus more

Holli has been taking extra classes the school offered for the librarians for the last couple years on top of everything else she does and she just finished her last class. (For now at least) Her Mother has been working on this quilt for a very long time, I think it's beautiful!
This is the quilt that her Grandma Hardy made for her. Woman with these talents amaze me!
Cassie and Jordan
Camille and Cassie
Super congrats to Cassie! Graduating from High School is such a big step. As someone mentioned at seminary graduation, in the next 10 years of her life she will make the most important decisions of her life. Best of luck to you Cassie!

Going to the Zoo with the family

We went to the Zoo on Monday and Anna Loved petting the goats. She somewhat startled one so she got startled to and fell flat on her bum. It was such a fun time and she made sure that she got to pet every goat. She is such a lover. What a fun family adventure!

Anna

This video is of Anna trying to learn how to use a spoon. I think she is doing a really great job. Sometimes it's a little messy but that's part of learning right?
I took Anna to the Doctor today for her 18 month appointment. She had to get 4 shots which she did NOT like but that is part of life right? These are her stats:
Weight 22.12 oz (25%)
Height 32 1/4 inches (60%)
Head Circumference 18 inches (30%).
She is getting bigger yay! What a blessing she is in our lives! We love her so much!

Anna's learning to use a Spoon

Anna absolutely demands to eat all by herself. She is getting much better. Most of the food stays on the spoon. But I'll tell you sometimes it's hard to be patient when a little baby is trying to learn new things. I tried to download a video but I think it's too long so I'll have to get one that is shorter and post it. mmmm.... Mom this is sooo good...yogurt and granola!

Happy b-day to Zach!

This is a picture of Anna's Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen.
We went out to dinner for Zach's birthday and Anna couldn't stop giving all kinds of hugs...she sure loves her DADDY!
All 3 of us at Oregano's.
I'm so cool man, and I love to wear Daddy's glasses.
I found you two! This is Anna's favorite peekaboo spot.
Zach is 25! Anna is 18 months. Can you believe that? It's crazy how time flies when we are having fun right? Gotta love it!

Mothers Day

Yay for Mothers Day. Not because I'm now a Mother but because today was a reminder to me how special it is to be a Mother. To have the opportunity to raise children and see them grow. There is an automatic love that comes from being a Mother. On top of that Anna is such a special spirit! She has so much love for everyone around her and she is such a joy in our lives. There are things that are hard about being a Mother like everyone having a different opinion about how to raise children and are very prompt to tell you you aren't doing things right. Changing diapers, never ending cleaning, and keeping Anna out of everything. Yet at the same time I love being a Mother! Anna loves me very much and she is such a cuddly little thing! She loves to play with me, dance with me, and even laugh with me. I know that she looks up to me and that she follows me everywhere I go. We read books, watch movies, go on bike rides, go to all kinds of stores, occasionally we go to the library to story time, and we absolutely love to park and soon swimming!

I'm getting nervous about having 2 little ones around the house. Can you believe I'm 21 weeks pregnant? This time it has seemed like that time had flown! I'm excited to have another baby but I realize that it is going to be an adjustment for Anna. I hope that she does okay and that it's easier for me to nurse. Everyone tells me it will be easier because you know what to expect, well I sure hope so!

Camille's Reception in Mesa

I am going to have to admit that I didn't take one picture at Camille's reception. My sister Andrea came and took some pictures but other than that I didn't get any. When my sister gives them to me I'll have to add a few. I think overall the reception turned out nice. It was a lot of work setting up but I was so grateful to have Camille and Erik and Zach's Grandparents on the Christensen side helping me set up decorations, I couldn't have done it without them. There were others that helped but they did most of the work. Holli and Dave mostly worked on the food and other things that needed to be done. I realize now more than ever how wonderful it is to have a lot of family that are willing to help and that make an effort to do all they can for those around them. I have been raised in a wonderful family! Many people don't have the kind of family support that I do.
