Thanksgiving

What is it like to be so far away from extended family on Thanksgiving?  I will be sure to tell you, but for now I can say that I'm excited to make all the yummy food.  Yes I'm weird I know but I LOVE to cook.  I love to spend time in the kitchen creating things that are yummy.

Zach is now back in Young Men's if I didn't mention that last time and it will be a fun adventure.  I guess the Lord hasn't taught me enough about Young Men's cause my Husband keeps getting called to it.  He loves it though.  It fits him perfectly.  I guess the Lord decided he needs a way to get away from all of us girls.

Zach keeps saying that they should call me to Young Woman's but it never happens.  I'm okay with that though.  I wouldn't mind serving there but I have 2 young kids and when your Husband is in Young Men's it's just not possible for both of us to be.  I now serve as sunbeams teacher and Young Woman's coach though so I get a little Young Woman time.  I may even get to teach Anna when she becomes a Sunbeam this next year.
I had a girl in my ward take this pictures for me when Kali turned 1 and I love them.  I never got a chance to share them so I thought everyone would like to see them.  I love them.

Family is gone...

This is my big shout out to thank all the family and friends who have come to visit us!  It's crazy to think I can move about 4 states away from my family and still have people come.  Zach and I are finally getting a little more used to saying this is home.  I feel like I know how to drive around Seattle better than Phoenix because every time people come they always want to go to Seattle.  I am also getting to know more people in our ward which is so much fun.
 Fun at Pike's Place
We bought some fish to take home and cook and it was fantastic!
The funniest thing of the day!
This thing is crazy, yet so much fun!
 The view from Kerry Park.
 Freemont Troll.
The view from the top of the space needle.

On the ferry to Whidbey Island.

 love this!

I love Kali's outfit.  I think the funniest part though was there was this guy that was in love with her and wanted to take all kinds of pictures of her.  She is cute for sure but it still made my smile.  I'm so in love with little girls boots and well all winter clothes for kids.  We are having to spend money on things like this this year but it is so much fun!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I'm happy to report that both the missionaries in our ward are still alive!  I'm sure your wondering, what?  Well last night we had the missionaries over for dinner.  Zach and I made burritos for them which included flour tortillas, chicken, cafe rio rice, pinto beans and any other sides you want with that.  Well we all sit down to dinner and I hear silence for a minute and then I look over to my left and Elder Brogan doesn't look so good so I ask him, are you okay.  He shakes his head No.  So I say do you need some help?  He shakes his head Yes so I look at Elder Buckway and he shoots up behind him to do the Heimlich.  Well he isn't going low enough so Zach says, very gently I might add, you need to go lower.  So he does and Elder Brogan finally gets it all up.  I know Elder Brogan feels totally stupid but seriously it was nuts!  He was all blue and I'm pretty sure if it had been much longer he would have passed out.  As a little side note I probably should have been the one to stand up and help him cause I was the one that saw he needed help but I didn't feel comfortable doing that to a missionary.  I'm glad that when I looked at Elder Buckway he got the memo.  Zach and I both laughed a little afterward when I told him I didn't feel comfortable putting my arms around a missionary, and he said Christy it was to save his life of course it's okay. lol  But think about it you other woman would you have been comfortable or at least hesitant to do the heimlich on an Elder?  The Elders stayed for a while to make sure they were both okay.  Elder Brogan was white for quite a while and Elder Buckway was pretty shook up.  He said he was fine and that it was basically just shock that he had to do it but I'm glad that Zach was there to help him out.  It's amazing how fast things can change right?  We never know what might happen!  We also kind of joked afterwards about having to call 911 or having to call the mission President and say that an Elder had died.  Then Zach said, that is not the phone call I would be worried about, it's the call home.  So true!  I'm just glad everything was okay!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen

This is what you may call picture over load but I wanted to share them all so here we go:
All of us on top of the space needle.
One of the views from the space needle.
 Happy Birthday Kali!
The Vietnamese restaurant down town we decided to try.  What I had was different but it was good.
Anna got tinker bell panties!  Yay!  She was really excited.
Kali opening her presents for her birthday!
We bought her that big elephant and she loves laying on it.
The Troll bridge.  Weird looking thing!

Grandma and Grandpa Christensen bought the girls a trampoline for their birthdays.  What great fun they have already had with this and will continue to have I'm sure.
On the grounds at the Seattle temple.  So many pretty flowers.
In so many pictures Anna will not smile at the camera.  She has way too many other things on her mind apparently.  Oh and about Zach's hair, many of you wouldn't notice but well I like his hair short.  Well we went to cut in and the clippers were having major issues so we had to postpone it till we could get some other clippers.  It's amazing what a new clipper set can do!
 Love Anna's CHEESE face!

We took a ferry to Bremerton and it took an hour to get there so we got out and explored the boat so much fun!

Seattle as we were coming back.  What a beautiful view!
I still can't believe that we live in the beautiful city.  It's so strange to have water EVERYWHERE!
 The fun trampoline again
Best friends!  For life I hope.  It's so much fun watching these two grow up.  I just love them!

Had to post these pictures because I put this same outfit on Anna when she was a baby and when she was 1.  I can't believe that my little Kali is 1!  Look how much she has grown.
