Lily's blessing

Camille, Zach's sister, blessed their baby at my in-laws house on Sunday after Christmas and that was a lot of fun. We got a few pictures of them.  Zach took most of these and we are still trying to figure out our camera so some of them don't look so nice, lol.  All in time. 

 I love this picture.  I feel like the bond between a mother/daughter is very special. 

Christmas 2013

Wow Christmas is over.  This is sad and happy.  The saddest part is we probably won't be back to AZ for at least another 6 months but that is also kind of a relief.  As fun as it has been to go to AZ trying to split time is much harder that I ever thought it would be.  We try to do the best we can but I think it some ways it would be easier to never come back.  Yes we would miss a lot but the drama of it all is way stressful.
Everyone keeps asking what my due date is.  I'm due January 31st.  I keep telling everyone the end of January because well I don't exactly look small and then they don't usually asked as many questions.  But this Friday I will be 36 weeks.  Traveling 15 hours in a car 35 1/2 weeks pregnant isn't exactly fun but I can admit that I have been blessed to have much easier pregnancies than most so I would much rather travel pregnant!  But here are some fun pictures of Christmas at the Christensen's home.

Thanksgiving

Not sure if I have any pictures from thanksgiving, SAD!  I probably do on my phone so if I get a chance I will add them here.  But for now I will just write a small post about what we did.  We started out the weekend before thanksgiving in Show Low and stayed there from Saturday-Friday morning.  On Sunday night my Mom watched the girls for us and we stayed in a Hotel over night.  Kinda of our little get away before baby #3.  It was a really good thing for us and we play all Monday pretty much.  That night we went and watch the Blue Ridge vs. Show Low football game and that was a lot of fun.  Wednesday afternoon we went and cut Christmas trees down by sunrise ski resort and then Thursday we spent the day with the Fish side of my family.  It was nice getting to know my Grandpa Fish's new wife a little bit more.  Friday morning we headed to Mesa and then went to my Grandma Pearce's house.  My cousin Brian was there with his new baby and it was fun to see them.  It was also nice to see my sister Andrea seeing as she was 39 weeks pregnant and couldn't go anywhere for thanksgiving. 
We spend all day Saturday with Zach's family and got to finally hold Lily.  She is Zach's sister Camille's new little baby girl.  She was born 8 weeks early, I believe, so she was in the hospital for a while.  But she is doing well and just has to be on a heart monitor for at least another month.  On Sunday we went to church with Zach's parents and then stayed with them for a few hours until we went to Natalie's house for dinner.  All my siblings were there and we got to take some fun pictures of all our pregnant bellies.  Of course we took them with my sisters camera though so I don't have them.  My Brother Jason has missed 1 wedding and 3 babies, almost 4 when our little girl comes.  It's crazy how much can happen in 2 years!  He will come home in May. 

Trying to post more often

I'm really trying to post more often but it just takes sooooooo long to download the pictures.  So that is why I have posted some without pictures.  I want to do it but it's hard to get on the computer without both my girls wanting to be on my lap.  A little overview of what has been going on around here.  First of all I'm the 2nd councilor in the primary presidency here and also Zach is the 1st councilor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency.  I think both of these callings will be good for us but it's so much different not being the President and Zach isn't in YM's, that's weird.  I like knowing what all is going on and I guess I like to be in charge.  But this will be good for me and I know that I will learn a lot.  The hardest part is change...not knowing what all is going on in a new ward is challenging.  Every ward does things a little differently which isn't bad just it just takes some getting used to and since I don't like sitting in the dark I ask lots and lots of questions.  Which I'm sure can be really annoying, but all in time I guess. 
We also joined the YMCA in Norman.  It is so nice to get to workout on a regular basis again.  The girls can also come swimming with us in their pool which is AWESOME!  Anna loves her swimming suit and she will wear it under her clothes every single day if I let her.  Which most of the time I don't care so she ends up wearing it. 
Everything is so different here and we live like 10-15 minutes from everything!  It feels like your driving through the country before you get to our house.  Our neighborhood is nice and quiet and the park next door will be very used by my children.  The only hard thing is Anna knows how to open our front door and she wants to just roam anywhere and everywhere whenever she wants and I'm not sure that I'm okay with that, she is only 3.  They both love being outside so much.
The last thing is EVERYONE wants to know when I find out what I'm having.  Well I honestly don't have a clue when that time will be.  I'm hoping after I go to my 1st appointment with a midwife that she can give me a better time frame of when I will find out.  As for now I will go to my 1st appointment on the 18th and pray that everything with me and the baby looks okay.  I haven't been to a Doctor since I was like 7 or 8 weeks so it's a little weird!

These are the pictures we got taken before we left Washington.  Some days I really miss that area and the wonderful people and also our friends we made there.  I hope that we can visit there someday and remember the beautiful things that are there.  Seriously camping there was the best!  I'm worried about camping here due to ticks and mosquitoes and all other crazy animals that live around here. 

We are officially in OKC!

Well we survived our month long vacation, barely but we survived.  That was one of the longest month of my life!  Just in case anyone is looking for the easiest way to move it isn't taking a month to do so.  It was fun seeing everyone for sure but it was also very stressful with 2 kids who are very busy and want to be home with their own toys.  But we also had a lot of fun along the way.

1st stop...last minute things in WA.  We went to Mount Rainier and also Pike's place.  We also drove around to some of our favorite places and let the girls play in the water at New Castle beach park, which was one of our favorites, I kinda miss it actually.  

2nd stop...Canada.  We enjoyed a weekend going up to Victoria through Vancouver.  It took us about 8 hours from our house to actually get to Victoria because we had to wait at the border for customs and then we had to wait about a hour for the ferry.  We went to Butchard Gardens and also the British Columbia museum and it was very fascinating. 

3rd stop...Salt Lake City.  Zach had to work until the 10th and so I left on Monday with Zach's Mother Holli and his Grandma and Grandpa Christensen.  We took 2 days to get to SLC.  Until Wednesday when Zach and his Dad got there we had a birthday party for Holli's Dad and got ready for camping.  After driving all night Zach and his Dad (Dave) got to SLC early in the morning and then we headed to Flaming Gorge where we went camping, swam in the lake and floated down the river.  It was  lot of fun. 

4th stop...back to SLC where we visited my cousin Annika and her new baby Peter, he is adorable!  We also got to spend some more time with Zach's little cousins and go to a White family reunion for Holli's side of the family. 

 5th stop...Mesa.  We got to Mesa late Tuesday night I believe and enjoyed spending time with my family and Zach's.  Zach left on the follow Sunday night to come to OKC because I decide to stay in AZ so I could go to a Fish family camp out that we had in Northern AZ.  Zach signed papers on our house on Tuesday and then painted the rest of the week.  His Mom Holli also came to OKC with him and gratefully helped Zach paint so I could stay in AZ.  It probably was best that the girls were not here when the house was getting painted.  One thing I will say for certain is that I think it will be a LONG while before I go camping without Zach again.  We like to camp but it was hard without my hubby there.  I don't think it helped that my girls were so ready to be in there own home.

And finally we came to OKC!!!! So glad to be here, and just in case anyone was wondering I finally got my 2 little happy girls back.  Traveling was very stressful and some days they or I didn't take it very well, but now we are all much happier.  I don't think it really has anything to do with OKC it's just being in your own home being able to do the things that you are used to.

p.s. I may have missed some of the things that we did but I can tell you that it was a busy month with lots of craziness.  Now on to the next adventure I think next week we will be potty training Kali.  She already wants to sit on the potty and go so hopefully it will be much easier than Anna!
