St Patrick's Day plus more

One of Anna's favorite things to do at her Grandma and Grandpa's Christensen's is feed Rusty their dog.
This one is my favorite because everytime she feeds him she has to open her mouth when he does...so super cute!
It was Cassie's birthday so Anna was lucky enough to get her own cupcake and ice cream...and she definitely enjoyed it for sure.

We took a trip to Show Low last week because my Mom turned the big 50 and my brother had an Eagle Scout Court of Honor. It was really fun to see everyone. This picture is in front of my Parents house. Such a big girl taking the step all by herself.
Helping Mom bake in the kitchen...flour sure tastes yummy doesn't it?
This picture is also in front of my Parents house.
For St. Partick's Day we went to a party at a park. Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen sent this shirt to Anna from Utah...so much fun. She looked so cute!
I sure love my Dad.

Anna is growing up so fast and it's hard to believe that she is 16 months. Yes I'm excited for her to go to nursery and have a few months of me time before the next baby comes but sometimes I realize that my little baby is no longer a baby. One of my favorite times of day is when Anna will snuggle with me and to be honest she loves it about as much as I do. She constantly wants my attention and I probably will never know how much she learns from my every day. Even right now she is pulling on my arm saying play with me Mom. But she is such a joy and a true blessing in our lives! I love this girl. I also love that Zach is so willing to play with her and help out in any way he can even though he is so busy.

Feeling like a bad Mom

I feel like such a horrible Mom. You see last night Anna was running from me cause I wanted to put her pajamas on and slipped on a pillow and hit her mouth on the edge of a stool. Needless to say it started bleeding and she was very upset. She woke up in the middle of the night screaming I think probably cause it hurt. She didn't want to suck on her passy or even the juice I gave her. So I asked Zach to come help me find the Tylenol. We gave her some and she finally went back to sleep. She slept good the rest of the night, thank goodness. Well this is where it gets bad. I went to my in-laws to get some fruit off their trees today and decided to jump on the tramp with Anna. I got off thinking she would like to jump all by herself and granted I'm standing right there so I thought everything would be okay, I guess that's what I get for thinking? She bolts across the tramp. There was no time to think or to try and stop her she just ran right off the tramp.
(It was one of those moments when you know what's going to happen and you wish with all your might you could change it but you aren't close enough.) Her lip started bleeding again, and her diaper was just wet but it exploded, poor thing. So I had to take all her clothes off and wash the blood off her shirt and put a new diaper on. She road home with just a diaper on. I kept thinking, I hope no one sees me they are going to think what you don't dress this poor child? I was just glad that I didn't have to go anywhere and I could just go home. Needless to say my heart was still jumping 20 minutes after it happened. I even called Zach and complained to him about it. You see though I was mostly grateful that Anna was okay. No broken bones, no major injuries other than her face that looks terrible but I was so grateful she's okay! fyi the picture was taken last night and does not really show how swollen her lip really is, poor thing!

*It also made me realize that this is probably what Heavenly Father feels to a small degree when we sin. He knows it's going to hurt and that we won't like it but if he saves us every time we won't learn and we won't grow.

Exciting? I THINK SO!

downsized_0205111441.jpg
So this is how we told our families? Fun, I think so...

This is my ultra sound done at 9 1/2 weeks. Crazy, the best part is we saw a heart beat, such a relief. My due date is Sept 18th.

It's been interesting trying to decided whether or not to tell everyone about our news. On Sunday I will be 11 weeks. It really has been so great! I have been feeling really good. At least much better than with Anna. The worst part about my pregnancy is my headaches which are terrible but overall I feel great! As long as I eat and drink plenty of water then I'm usually fine. I'm really tired and have felt a little dizzy but really nothing to complain about. Many women are very sick every pregnancy. But we all have challenges and mine aren't usually during pregnancy but at birth and after, lol. I'm very grateful for the experiences I've had that have made me a better person and brought me to my knees in prayer.

Christy's Thoughts

So Jason had a wrestling tournament in Payson last weekend and it brought back all the memories of playing sports and being involved with a team and things like that. In High School and in College my life was so busy yet I played sports pretty much on a regular basis and I tried really hard to exercise. Now I just really need to start that again! But it's so much easier when you have people to play with right? I do play on a softball team but I don't feel like it is very vigorous exercise, but I definitely enjoy it!
Oh how life is great right now though. I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing Husband who has pretty much switched places with me it seems. My life no longer is filled with a schedule so packed there is no time for anything else but now I have to truly work hard to fill my days with good and uplifting things, and watch Zach be so busy I wonder how he does it all. I guess there are things we learn through every season of our lives.

Don't you just love the smiles!!!!
So Zach and I went on a date with his sister Cassie and her boyfriend Jordan and well we went to the mall and took silly pictures of anything weird thing we could find. I just put one picture of Zach and one of me.
Guess what movie this is from?
Always fun taking pictures with my girl! I sure love you Anna. It's hard to believe that soon she will be 15 months! What a joy she is in our lives!

Christmas!

So I was so excited to post some cute pictures of Anna and the family but well Zach and I can't find our camera so you get to read my thoughts about our exciting Christmas. First of all Zach and I were super excited to get a new computer thanks to John Meyers who built it for us. We also got a sweet deal on a monitor which is so nice. It's great to have a computer at home all the time. When Zach goes to school sometimes he takes mine and I love having the internet available to me at all times.

Anna was a lot of fun. She got so many fun toys and clothes. Besides that she loves loves loves being the center of attention and she now knows how to dance, sing and say a few words. My favorite of course is Mama. She has been saying it for a while but lately she has been repeating it back to me so I know she knows what I'm saying. She also says Dada, ya(yes) and NO!(usually in the form of no no no with the shake of her head). Sometimes I think she says other things but she has always been a jabber box. She loves to make noises. She has started to run...well that is Anna kind of running and she loves to be down and walking. We went to the Christmas lights at the temple not too long ago and she saw someone pushing a stroller and she decided that she was going to help them, (I usually helps me push her stroller when she is sick of being in it, so she thought that it was okay to help them). It was super funny. But there is nothing like a good laugh right? She is little miss adventure. She wants to know everything about life and figure everything out about life. We were at my Grandma's house and after about 15-20 minutes of being there my Grandpa says something like, she sure is curious I don't think there is a room in this house that she hasn't been in, (I just had to chuckle inside).
